P.Y.T. was a Florida-based girl group in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Unlike many pop groups, PYT.'s formation was not the result of scouting by a talent agency or a series of auditions. Instead, these Tampa teenagers. Lauren Mayhew , Ashley Niven, Lydia Bell, Tracy Williams had all been childhood friends. They had previously performed together in the Tampa Entertainment Revue (through Busch Gardens) and were signed to Epic Records in 1998.
