Rising Sun Lyrics

I know you don't like it butcha
You fit in like the rising sun
On the holy holy road
Out there on that line
And I know I dreamt of you
But I'm starting to unwind
'Cause I'm in transit here
And I'm coming out to that lineElevate my life, my prayer
I'm a gonna demonstrate this love
And when I get down in this love affair
I'm a gonna demonstrate this loveWell it was such a long day and
And it ended about an hour ago
I got us some milkshakes
Now let's head off and see the show
I know you don't like it butcha
You fit in like the rising sun
With many more miles to go, yeah
With many more miles to goEle-elevate my life my prayer

I'm a gonna demonstrate this love
And when I get down in this love affair
I'm a gonna demonstrate my loveThe devil's been tailgating me from
From the dark side of town
But he's just a little guy
He can hardly see over the dashboard but he says
I know you don't like it butcha
Fit in like the rising sun
With many more miles to go, yeah
Many more miles to goAll in a day
You got yours and I got mine
But they don't care to see
That our love is a fortune brightEle-elevate my life, my prayer
I'm a gonna demonstrate this love
And when I get down in this love affair
I'm a gonna demonstrate my loveEle-elevate my life, my prayer
I'm a gonna demonstrate this love
And when I get down in this love affair
I'm a gonna demonstrate my love, my love
You demonstrate my loveEle-elevate my life, my prayer
I'm a gonna demonstrate this love
And when I get down in this love affair
I'm a gonna demonstrate my love

Rusted Root is an alternative/bluegrass/jam band which formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1990. The band consists of Michael Glabicki (vocals, guitar), Colter Harper (guitar), Dirk Miller (guitar), Patrick Norman (bass, percussion), Liz Berlin (percussion, vocals) and Jason Miller (drums, percussion). Every member of the band has proficiency in African drums, and this lends to the band's strong percussion, which draws from Middle-Eastern, African, Latin, Native American and funk influences. The band is best known for their 1995 hit single "Send Me On My Way" which has been featured in dozens of films and television shows.
