Ritual Lyrics

VERSE 1
At night when our voices are gone, and
Flame thrown silhouettes line the wall
We have nothing left to say, cause
We used some terrible words
To get such subtle rewards
That never seemed worth it to mePRE 1
They say the older we are we cant change
And I say, all that we are is dark matter, any way
So just breathe, with meCHORUS 1
You and I keep falling further away
Its become our ritual to
Stare like strangers
Straight through each other
In to the wallVERSE 2
You say,
When the knives in your mouth come unfurled
From encaged theoretical storms

They mean nothing
But they go straight through me, cause
We use some terrible words
Which always sends me crippled into flightPRE 2
You say its not too late,
We can change, and I say
Hurry up, and help me touch the ground tonight
Please, say the wordsCHORUS 2
You and I keep falling further away
Its become our ritual to
Stare like the strangers
Straight through each other
In to the wallOUTRO
Do you ever think you could erase the things Ive said?
The bitter words that drip from wounds, inside your head
I want to see the blood rush back into your face
The last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt you this way
