River of Love Lyrics

I been standin' on the waters edge
Now you want to pull me in
But I been standin' here too long
I can't remember if I can swimDo you believe that people change?
Now baby, tell me that you see a change in me
I'm ready to begin'Cause I climbed a mountain, that ain't so tough
Now I'm going down to the river of love
I made some money, it's never enough
Now I'm going down to the river of love
Follow me down, down, down to the riverNow your big blue skies
And your deep blue water
Will not wash away the past
But to my heart I will surrender
And swear this time will be the lastAnd maybe I'm afraid of losing, baby
Maybe it'd be worse to win
Either way I'm jumping inI climbed a mountain, that ain't so tough
Now I'm going down to the river of love
I made some money, it's never enough

Now I'm going down to the river of love
Follow me down, down, down to the riverAnd I was thirsty, baby
You came and filled me up
And now I'm ready, ready, baby
To drown in your river of loveI climbed a mountain, that ain't so tough
Now I'm going down to the river of love
If it's too sweet I may never come up
I'm going down to the river of loveI've moved some mountains, that ain't so tough
Now I'm going down to the river of love
If it's too sweet I may never come up
I wanna drown in your river of love
Follow me down, down, down to the river
