Robot Love Lyrics

Hey!
Waking up to the sound of text messages
And typing in my ear
You just can't wait to check your e-mail
I'll beg and beg, baby connect with me instead
Technology sucks (Sucks!)
I wish I could change all your numbers
Put your phone underwater
And if your gadgets spoke back, I would have to ask
Why you won't let down
You're such a homewrecker
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
My boyfriend's in love with a robot

Table for three, we got a third wheel
For me and you and your artificial intel
You can't keep your hands off her
She's beep-beep-beeping over every other word
Technology sucks (Sucks!)
I wish I could change all your numbers
Put your phone underwater
And if your gadgets spoke back, I would have to ask
Why you won't let down
You're such a homewrecker
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
My boyfriend's in love with a robot
How can I save you now
Love's not mechanical
Sometimes I want to be
Stomping on your phone (Sucks!)
Busting up your laptop
No more, no more, no more robot
Stomping on your phone (Sucks!)
Busting up your laptop
No more, no more, no more robot
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
My boyfriend's in love with a robot
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)
Give me my, give me my baby back
Oooh, na na (Hey!)

Teenage Fanclub are an indie rock band from Bellshill, Scotland near Glasgow, formed in 1989, and were formerly known as The Boy Hairdressers. They have two generally known humorous nicknames "The Fannies" and "The Bellshill Beach Boys"

Teenage Fanclub are revered for their devotion to chiming, Byrds-esque guitars and harmony vocals. Songwriting duties are shared between the three permanent members of the band, Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love.

In 2006, the band held two special concerts in London and Glasgow, playing their 1991 masterpiece Bandwagonesque in its entirety.

There have been a succession of drummers, including:

- Francis MacDonald (a prime-mover in the C86 scene, later of the BMX Bandits), the drummer in the original lineup, and in a later period
- Brendan O’Hare (later of Telstar Ponies, Thrapple , Mogwai and Macrocosmica)

and

- Paul Quinn (later of The Primary 5), who was later replaced by the returning Francis MacDonald.

Keyboardist Finlay MacDonald (no relation to Francis MacDonald) has also been a member.
