Rogers Park Lyrics

This towns dead tonight
I got no place to be
Moon is hung just right
Shine like diamonds on these streetsRed Line wind me lonesome
Its cutting clean through my heart
In my window smoking
While the midnights setting in on rogers parkI come here with hopes and
Guess I came here with dreams
Now Im all alone
I cant even get to sleepSo take my heart and break it in
Send me back to the pines
Tired of lying awake at night
Feels like Im running outta timeSee my dreams before my eyes
Shadows on the wall
I aint got no place I can fall
Snowing in off the lake
Punching holes in the dark
Through the lonely streets

Of rogers parkSo shadow boys are begging and I
Hear them down in the streets
Corner girls are waiting
For someone to take them off for keepsThere ain't no hope in healing them
There ain't no prayer for the poor
And all that's lost in stealing
She can't hold me anymoreSee my dream before my eyes
Shadows on the wall
I aint got no place I can fall
Snowing in off the lake
Punching holes in the dark
Through the lonely streets
Of rogers park
Oh through the lonely streets
Of rogers park
