Roll On Lyrics

I love it when you play it like that
Come on, playSittin' here alone
I'm lookin' back on where I've roamed
And laughin how I swore
I'd win and not get burnedLeft my family, left my home
I worked my fingers to the bone
And there was not a stone
I did not leave unturned
And I was havin' a good timeRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older and one step closer
Roll on, there's mountains to climb
Roll on, we're on borrowed time
Roll on roller coaster, roll on tonight
Roll on tonight, yeahMoney and success
I don't complain about the stress
I wanted this and now it's here
So I don't bitchAnd I swear that time's a trick
It disappears in, oh, so quick

Man, I was just sixteen
And now I'm starin' at thirty-six
But I'm still havin' a good time
Good timeRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older and one step closer
Roll on, there's mountains to climb
Roll on, we're on borrowed time
Roll on roller coaster, roll on tonight
Roll on tonightAnd I know it's hard to see
With the sun in your eyes
But one day you're gonna say
I saw the lightAnd now headin' for the hill
And I just cannot wait until
My children grow up to
Have children of their ownAnd I'll be telling them about
The times I turned the party out
And how I stood against
An army all aloneDrinkin' wine and stayin' high
And realized it couldn't last
And how I turned myself around
And went down another pathAnd the signs we must observe
When life's changes do occur
But most of all I'll tell them
Just how proud I am of them
And always have a good time
It's all love and good times
Let's all have a good time, yeahRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older and one step closer
Roll on, there's mountains to climb
Roll on, we're on borrowed time
Roll on roller coaster, roll on tonight
Roll on tonight, roll on tonight
Roll on tonight, roll on tonightRoll on, roll on
I want you to roll, roll with me, babe
Roll with me, babe
Roll on with every town, yeahRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older and one step closer
Roll on, there's mountains to climb
Roll on, we're on borrowed timeRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older and one step closer
Roll on, there's mountains to climb
Roll on, we're on borrowed timeRoll on, roll on roller coaster
We're one day older

Kid Rock (born Robert James Ritchie on January 17, 1971), is an American singer-songwriter and rapper from Detroit with five Grammy Award nominations. Kid Rock is known for music that incorporates elements of hip-hop, rap metal, blues-rock, hard rock, southern rock, funk and country.

Kid Rock released several studio albums from 1988 that mostly went unnoticed before his 1998 record 'Devil Without a Cause', released with Atlantic Records, sold 11 million albums behind the hits, "Bawitdaba","Cowboy," and "Only God Knows Why". In 2000, he released The History of Rock which was a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from his previous albums as well as the hit single, "American Bad Ass". In 2001, he released the follow up, Cocky. After a slow start, his country-flavored hit "Picture" with Sheryl Crow resurrected the album and it went gold as a single and pushed the album's sales to more than 5 million. It was followed by 2003's self-titled release, which failed to chart a major hit. In 2006 he released Live Trucker , a live album. In 2007 Kid Rock released Rock N Roll Jesus, which produced a hit in "All Summer Long." It was his first worldwide smash hit, charting #1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia. Rock N Roll Jesus would go on to sell 5 million albums worldwide including being certified triple platinum in the US.

He has sold 22 million albums to date in the United States, which currently ranks him as the 99th best selling music artist of all time in the U.S.
