Rolling Thunder Lyrics

It's the weight below us
And our fate before us
Like a rolling thunder
Rolling up from underDon't ever leave this way
I know it's getting harder but hey
If your world should crumble, yeahAnd the rain gets in
Running through your skin
Soaking you outside inThe rain, see it falling
But I don't know how long it will be
Until the storm's over
I'll wait, I willLike the years of silence
To the growing violence
Like a rolling thunder
Rolling up from underDon't ever leave me this way
Wait a little longer, yeah, stay
Through the night I tumble, yeahWhen the rain comes in
I will shed my skin
Losing it from withinSee the rain, it's falling

But I, I won't be leaving your side
Until all is over
'Cause, I'll wait, I willSo many lifetimes
You've been waiting for it
All through the good times
When you tried to ignore itHesitate
It's come too late
Hear the sound
Of wheels engageWhen the rain comes in
I will shed my skin
Losing it from withinThe rain keep falling
But I, I won't be leaving your side
Until all is over
'Cause, I'll wait 'cause I willBut I don't know how long it will be
Until the storm's over
But I'll wait 'cause I willAll is over
But I'll wait, I will

a-ha was a Norwegian band that was globally successful from the 1980s until their split in 2010. The trio, composed of lead vocalist Morten Harket, guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and keyboardist Magne Furuholmen, formed in 1982 and left Oslo, Norway for London in order to make a career in the music business. The origin of the name a-ha comes from the lyric of an early song. After checking dictionaries in several languages, they found out that 'a-ha' was an international way of expressing recognition, with positive connotations. It was short, a-ha was easy to say and somewhat unusual.
