Rough & Tumble Lyrics

Woke up from a bad dream
To the world was burning down
I didn't know where I was
I didn't know which townYou gotta live through this hard life
And get it right first time
See it's a mean place for I love to live
And I bring yours to mineAnd we can make it through somehow
If we hold tight and stay true
When the game gets rough
We can play rough tooIt's gonna take the National Guard
To keep us apart when things get hard
Rough and tumble with me
Rough and tumble, baby, yeahThere are people out there waiting
With a handshake for a smile
They take what they get from us
They got no truth and no styleBut we'll make it through somehow
If we hold tight and stay true
It's a dangerous game

But you got me and I got you'Cause love's a good thing that we got
When the world gets cold, we're still hot
Rough and tumble with me
Rough and tumble, baby, it's alright'Cause love's a good thing, baby
And we got a lot
When the world cools down
We'll still be hotIt's gonna take the National Guard
To keep us apart when things get hard
Rough and tumble with me
And we'll make it, babyRough and tumble with me
It's a hard world
Rough and tumble with me, yeah
Be my girl, yeahRough and tumble, flee from mine
Yeah, rough and tumble, baby
