Runaway Lyrics

As I walk along I wonder what went wrong
With our love, a love that was so strong
And as I still walk on I think of the things
We've done together while our hearts were youngI'm a walking in the rain, to the bone I feel the pain
Wishing you were here by me to end this misery
And I wonder, I w-w-wonder, why, you ran away
And I wonder if you will stay, my little runaway, my runawayI'm a walking in the rain, to the bone I feel the pain
Wishing you were here by me to end this misery
And I wonder, I w-w-wonder baby yeah, you know why, you ran away
And I wonder if you will stay, my little runaway, my little runawayCome back baby
(Run, run, runaway)
You left me standing in the rain
(Run, run, runaway)Come back baby
(Run, run, runaway)
Standing in the rain
(Run, run, runaway)

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
