SK8 or Die Lyrics

The old school, is better than the new school
Our stunts, were stupider than your stunts
In the day knee pads were laughed at,
we knew how to mess ourselves up
Climb on to the roof real high and jump from the top
The old school, is better than the new school
Our stunts, were stupider than your stunts
But first remember you only get one chance
Don't break your leg... Acid Drop!
There was pogoing and freestyling back when ramps were rad
What a great ride he's gleaming the cube right on it's rad
woo-hoo Steve caballero and Tony Hawk
the elite of the bones brigade
Dwayne Peters invented pool skating for me and you
Grab your skateboard and climb real high jump off don't die
But first remember you only get one chance don't break your leg... acid drop
There I stood on the roof of my parent's garage
The wind blew through my hair as I looked down at the yard

I felt like a NASA scientist on his first day of work,
about to defy the laws of gravity
The crowd behind me said they'd give me to a count of three
and then they'd push
But they only counted to two
SK8 OR DIE (4x)

Formed in 1994 in Montreal, Quebec, the Planet Smashers’ infectious pop infused melodies, rippin’ horn licks and killer live shows, quickly established them as the city’s “Kings of Ska”. They released their first album (“Self-Titled”) on Planet Smasher’s founder Matt Collyer’s own label Stomp Records and hit the road. By 1997 they were no longer a local band, but a national phenomenon, headlining shows across Canada and pushing their second record, “Atttack of The Planet Smashers” which reached 2 on the national college radio charts for 2 months straight.
