S.O.S. Lyrics

Silly boy
Meets nice girl
Who didnt think twice
Ended up tongue-tied and turned it into life
Shoulda been nicer
Coulda been wiser
Would have saved my Sundays Lord
If Id only known about rainbows
Lollipops and love
As the cure
To a Cinderella story working fineBut no not mine
Here we go again
Im sending out an S.O.S. times two
Coz Ive been dead
For the longest time
It makes no sense to do it all again
Anybody knows to learn from woe
So Im sending out an S.O.S. times twoTo fill my shoes

Break my blues
Can be a lonely task with no you
Over there
Me over here
Could I have been happier without
Rainbows
Lollipops and love
As the cure
To a Cinderella story working fineBut no not mine
Here we go again
Im sending out an S.O.S. times two
Coz Ive been dead
For the longest time
It makes no sense to do it all again
Anybody knows to learn from woe
So Im sending out an S.O.S times twoTip toe baby taking me through
Summer makes me crazy for you
Ah do ba da bo le la di do
Can you make a lady change her heartbeat
Take away the people you know
Think about the places you fool
Can you let me go where I go
Ah do ba da bo de be coz mama let meBut no not mine
Here we go again
Im sending out an S.O.S. times two
Coz Ive been dead
For the longest time
It makes no sense to do it all again
Anybody knows to learn from woe
So Im sending out an S.O.S.
Im sending out an S.O.S.
And Im sending out an S.O.S. times two

Virginia "Gin" Wigmore is a New Zealand singer/songwriter who was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she spent most of her childhood. However, while in Argentina at age 16 her father died of cancer. Upon her return to New Zealand, she articulated in song, the pain of losing her father. One of those early penned songs, “Hallelujah”, won the US-based International Songwriting Competition in 2004[2], when she beat 11,000 songwriting aspirants from 77 countries to become the youngest and only unsigned Grand Prize winner in the history of the ISC. "Hallelujah" was also featured in the season 6 finale of One Tree Hill.

Extended Play was Wigmore's first EP. It was produced by Tony Buchen (Blue King Brown, The Whitlams, Macromantics, Kid Confucius) and contains the tracks "Hallelujah", "These Roses", "SOS", "Under My Skin", and "Easy Come Easy Go". Released in 2008, it has peaked at number ten in the New Zealand charts. The EP was certified Gold in New Zealand on June 7, 2009, selling over 7,500 copies.[4]

Extended Play was released in Australia on 2 August 2008 by Island Records. Wigmore was the first artist signed with Island Records, a partner company with Universal Music Group, Australia[3].

The EP features renowned Australian musician John Butler on ukulele on Wigmore's song "SOS".[3]

Wigmore toured with Australian artist, Pete Murray, on his national tour in August/September 2008. Wigmore toured in 2008, including at the Cross Town Revue in Auckland, New Zealand, and in December 2008, toured with musicians John Mellencamp and Sheryl Crow in New Zealand.

Wigmore's sister, Lucy Wigmore, played Justine Jones in the long running New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street.

Recent work has seen her featured in the song and video of the new group, Smashproof, also from Auckland, New Zealand. The song, "Brother", was released in early 2009.
