Santa Claus (i Still Believe In You) Lyrics

You always come around this time of year
With your big ole bag that's full of Christmas cheer
And when it starts to snow, the little boys and girls
All know soon they'll hear the sound of your reindeerNow sometimes grownups grow up to believe
That you don't really come on, Christmas eve
But I don't think that's true
'Cause I know I see you in sparking little eyes around the treeOh Santa Claus, I still believe in you
And there's still a kid inside of me that still believes you're true
Oh Santa Claus, the kids are tucked in tight
And it's time to play ole Santa Claus tonightWell, I don't see how anybody could ever doubt
That there's really a Santa Claus
Not if they've ever seen a little girl
With her arms wrapped around her baby dollSo tight both of 'em waking up Mama and Daddy way before daylight
And Grandma and Grandpa are looking young and full of life
Just knowin' that their grandkids are gonna be alright
And Mama and Daddy, they'll be waitin' up to answer ole Santa's call'Cause tonight they ain't worried about the bills
Lord they're just lovin' it allOh Santa Claus, I still believe in you
And there's still a kid inside of me that still believes you're true

Oh Santa Claus, the kids are tucked in tight
And I'll be waiting up for you tonight
Ho, ho, ho

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
