Scrapple from the Apple Lyrics

I'm cuttin' out to see the Apple
Grab my Alto Sax and I'm back on the road
I've practiced everything that's out
No doubt I'll be makin' it big
Just giggin' with those Cats in New YorkI'm gonna cut me off some scrapple
Gonna cut that Apple right down to the core
They've never heard the Bird before
I'm sure I'll be makin' it big
Just giggin' with those Cat's in New YorkBlow into town
The joints are really jujmpin'
With some cool bopin' music
Man it's really quite a scene
I can't wait to get out there
And take out my horn and playI'm gonna be hangin' with those cats in Harlem
Spendin' all day playin' bebop
I'm cutting Scrapple from the Apple
Goin' to cut this Apple right down to the core
I'll put some Scrapple on the floor for sure

I'll be makin' it big just giggin' with these cats in New York

Charles Christopher "Bird" Parker, Jr (29th August 1920 – 12th March 1955) was an American bebop saxophonist and composer. Early in his career Parker was dubbed Yardbird; this was later shortened to 'Bird' (or sometimes 'Yard') and remained Parker's nickname for the rest of his life and inspiration for the titles of his works such as "Ornithology and Yardbird Suite". Parker is commonly considered the greatest bebop jazz musician.
