See Me Lyrics

Yesterday was the first time
That I didn't hear from you
Almost felt like the world had ended
What was I to do?'Cause you're the one for me
And only you can be my love fantasy
You lift me up higher, you're who I desire
I just love what you do to me
And oh, don't leave me waiting too longCome by and see me
You need love, baby
I need love, baby
See me, hurry, babyI can't hide my emotions
It never turns out right
And without you, there was no one
To get me through the nightWell, I have never cried so much
For anybody else's touch
I even scared myself
And what a way to spend my time
Hoping for even one line

From you and no one elseI really need you here with me
See, all these lonely nights keep
Messing in with my mindI'm so satisfied
I asked you to come on by
'Cause I know soon you'll be by my side
And, oh, you won't keep me waiting too long
When you come by toSee me
You need love, baby
I need love, baby
See me, hurry, babyCome to me, girl
My whole world is empty and sad without you
Come make me betterYou need love, baby
I need love, baby, baby
You need love, baby
I need love, baby, baby
See meYou're the one for me
And only you can be my love fantasy
You lift me up higher, you're who I desire
I just love what you do to me
And oh, don't leave me waiting too longCome by and see me
See me, hurry, baby
See me, need love, baby
I need love, baby
See me, you need love, baby
See me, see me

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
