See My Soul Lyrics

On a train full of strangers
Take a glance and look away
When a smile could be dangerous
Safer to be afraid
Building boxes and no one fits in
Everyday’s a judgment day
Makes me wonder
If you could see my soul
These walls would surely shatter
If you could see my soul
Our differences won't matter
Anymore, I'm letting go
Of all the history
that's come between us
Oh if you could see my soul

What I'm worth on the surface
Who I wear and who I know
don't give you a clue, about my purpose
Or how much deeper I might go
Without the chance I'll show my colors
No ones only black and white
don't you wonder..?
If you could see my soul
These walls would surely shatter
If you could see my soul
Our differences won't matter
Anymore I'm letting go
Of all the history
that's come between us
Oh if you could see my soul
I'm open, I'm waiting
My hand is reaching out
I'm hoping you'll take it
The moment could be now
don't you wonder..?
If you could see my soul
These walls would surely shatter
If you could see my soul
Our differences won't matter
Anymore I'm letting go
Of all the history
that's come between us
Oh if you could see my soul

Push Play is a pop-punk band signed to Wind-Up records and residing in Long Island, NY. The band consists of CJ, 20 (vocals and rhythm guitar), Steve, 19 (guitar, piano, and backup vocals), Nick, 20 (bass), and Derek, 20 (drums). CJ and Nick formed their first band, Kaution, when they were in middle school. Though that band was unsuccessful, Nick and CJ decided a few years later in 2007 that they wanted to be in a band again. Their producer found Steve and Derek to join them and form Push Play. They clicked immediately and began writing songs and rehearsing. Since then, the band has been extremely well received and has a large fanbase, with fans from not only all over the US, but in Europe, South America, and Asia. The band opened for Miley Cyrus, and has played alongside Metro Station, Flyleaf, and Sara Barellies at the 2008 Zootopia Pre-Show. Push Play has played in major venues like the Nokia Theater in Times Square (they were the first unsigned band to play there), Irving Plaza, and the Gramercy Theater. In 2008, they signed with Jim Morey, Miley Cyrus’ manager, and have since starred on such shows as TRL and Mike & Juliet in the Morning, and performed in the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. With an extremely unique sound and great stage presence, this band has a great future ahead of them. Unfortunately they broke up in late 2010.
