Sentimental Lyrics

Take a walk down memory lane
And see where the path might lead you
Familiar things do change
In our minds they stay the sameI can hear the voice of my mama
Calling out her children's names
She says, "Come on in, it's dinner time"
Let me help my babies fix their platesWe all have memories, we should not forget
Times that become part of our lives
A person so heartfelt when I think of you history
I get sentimental when I think of you, woman
I get sentimentalYou were holding hands
Walking through the park
It seems like yesterday
It felt so good to be in love
But our age got in the wayI still feel the warmth of your arms
A big kiss on my face
When I reminisce, I think of this
'Cause what I miss is youWe all have memories, we should not forget

Times that become part of our lives
A person so heartfelt when I think of you history
I get sentimental when I think of you, woman
I get sentimentalWonderful, that's what you are
Unforgettable, my heart wont let me so
Lovable, so lovable, baby
I get emotional when I think of your loveSo sentimental, baby
You're unforgettable woman
When you touch my life
Ooh, you're wonderful
So lovable, so lovable, baby
So lovable babySentimental parts of moments
Captured in our mind as we grow up
Things in life do change for us
But memories stay the sayLove once in our lives are a part of
Never take for granted someone
Spend some time while they're around
Spend some time share sentimentalWe all have memories, we should not forget
Times that become part of our lives
A person so heartfelt when I think of you history
I get sentimental when I think of you, woman
I get sentimental

Alexander O'Neal (born November 14, 1953, in Natchez, Mississippi), was a member of The Time when the group first formed in 1980. However, he was dropped immediately from the group, supposedly for seeming "too black". Three years later, he was able to get a record deal with Clearance Avant's Tabu Records As his vocals range in the same strength as Otis Redding's, O'Neal sings in the retro-style of soul when it comes to doing it in both the dance-pop numbers and modern, urban ballads.
