Serenade in Blue Lyrics

When I hear that Serenade in blue
I'm somewhere in another world, alone with you
Sharing all the joys we used to know
Many moons agoOnce again your face comes back to me
Just like the theme of some forgotten melody
In the album of my memory
Serenade in blueIt seems like only yesterday
The small cafe, a crowded floor
And as we danced the night away
I hear you say forever more
And then the song became a sigh
Forever more became goodbye
Cause you remained in my heart, butTell me darling in there still a spark?
Or only lonely ashes of the flame we knew
Should I go on whistling in the dark,
Serenade in blue

There are at least two artists by this name: 1. Vic Damone is an Italian American singer originally named Vito Rocco Farinola; born 12 Jun 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, USA. Perry Como visited the theater & Vic took him to his dressing room, to perform for him. Como liked the performance enough to take him under his wing & referred him to a local bandleader. Then, he took the name Damone (his Italian mother's maiden name).
