Set In Stone Lyrics

You see my car keys on the table
My traveling boots out on the floor
That's you peeking around the corner
Looking in my bags packed by the doorAnd while I have to say goodbye
When I come home and you're surprised
We're gonna drive your mother crazy
And now the grass will grow
And the wheels may change direction
But child, I need you to know
That the love I have is always set in stone
Set in stoneAnd when I've gone and you hear mama crying
And you hear angry shouting on the phone
Just remember, child, we are trying
To keep our house a happy home
And though we may fuss and fight
Mom and I are gonna be alright, yeah
We'll be making up this Sunday morningAnd now the storms will blow
And the clouds make way for sunshine

Child, we need you to know
That this love we share is always set in stone
Set in stoneOh, hmm
Even if I'm miles and miles away
Past Pluto and the Milky Way
You'll never be alone, no
Our love is set in stoneNow as a highway rose
Your love gives me sense of direction
Child I need you to know
When I'm far away from home
You'll never really be alone
Cause the love we have is set in stone
Set in stone
