Seven Veils Lyrics

The day grows older
The moon appears in a mirror
A fire side mirror, a distant walker
Hears the words, go, do good deedsSo you feel okay
The moon and the sun
Partners in light
Separating, reflecting one light
Hearing this confusion wanes
No need to ask for wealth
Or one thing more nowAnd the night feels the same
As a cool, hot summers climb
With the voice comes no shame
As the walker walks the lineThe day grows older, the moon appears
Reflecting on his heart
Heavy weighed and pierced
The walker looks at his daysBad deeds gone by
For which he must pay
The moon and the sun

Partners in lightSeparating, reflecting one light
Hearing this confusion wanes
Another image hits
The seven veils of mindBut the night feels the same
As a cool, hot summers climb
With the voice comes no shame
As the walker hunts the line

Peter John Murphy (born 11 July 1957, near Northampton, England, raised in Wellingborough, England), is the vocalist of the rock group Bauhaus who later went on to release a number of solo albums, such as Deep and Love Hysteria. By 1983, Bauhaus broke up and Murphy went on to new projects not involving Bauhaus members Kevin Haskins, David J, or Daniel Ash. After some brief dabbling with acting and dance - including a slightly odd televised performance to Bauhaus's "Hollow Hills" - he soon formed Dalis Car with Mick Karn, the bass player from Japan.
