Seymour Stein Lyrics

Seymour Stein, I've been lonely
Caught a glimpse of someone's face
It were mine and I'd been cryingHalf a world away, ticket for a plane
Record company man
I won't be coming to dinnerMy thoughts are far away
I'm working on that day
North country girl
I think she's going to stayPromises of fame, promises of fortune
L.A. to New York
San Francisco back to BostonHas he ever seen Dundee?
Won't he hire a limousine?
Seymour send her back to meI heard dinner went well
You liked Chris's jacket
He reminded you of Johnny
Before he went electronicSeymour Stein, sorry I missed you
Have a nice flight home
It's a good day for flyingSeymour Stein
Seymour Stein

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister, recorded in a week, at the peak of the chamber pop movement.
