Shady Grove Lyrics

Oh Shady Grove my own true love,
Shady Grove my darling,
Oh Shady Grove my own true love,
Shady Grove my darling,
My sweet Shady Grove my own true love,
I'm on my way,
On my way to Harlem,Oh peaches in the summertime baby,
Apples in the fall,
Oh peaches in the summertime baby,
Apples in the fall,
If i can't have the girl i want,
I don't want no girl at all,I'm going down to Houston baby,
See my pony run,
I'm going down to Houston baby,
See my pony run,
If i win some money baby I'm gonna bring you,
I'm gonna bring you some,(Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro)Oh Shady Grove my own true love,
Shady Grove my darling,

Oh Shady Grove my own true love,
Shady Grove my darling,
Oh Shady Grove my own true love,
I'm gonna visit my uncle Abdul who live uptown in Harlem,(Just ride that train)

Taj Mahal (born Henry Saint Clair Fredericks in New York City on May 17, 1942) is an American Grammy Award-winning blues musician who incorporates elements of world music into his music. A self-taught singer-songwriter and film composer who plays the guitar, banjo and harmonica (among many other instruments), Mahal has done much to reshape the definition and scope of blues music over the course of his 50 year career by fusing it with non-traditional forms, including sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and the South Pacific.
