Shake That Thing Lyrics

Here I am, the Jelly Roll King
Got a hump in my bag from that shakin' that thing
I gotta shake that thing (shake that thing)
I gotta shake that thing (gotta shake that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thingLook at that clock, the clock struck two
Baby whatcha doing, it just won't do
You gotta shake that thing (shake that thing)
You gotta shake that thing (shake that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thingNow, Jack and Jill went up the hill
Jill came down with a ten dollar bill
She must have shook that thing (shake that thing)
She must have shook that thing (gotta shake that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thingHere I am, the Jelly Roll King
Got a hump in my bag from that shakin' that thing
I gotta shake that thing (shake that thing)
I gotta shake that thing (gotta shake that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thingLook that's a clock. The clock struck two
Baby whatcha doing, it just won't do

You gotta shake that thing (shake that thing)
You gotta shake that thing (gotta shake that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thingNow, Jack and Jill went up the hill
Jill came down with a hundred dollar bill
She must have shook that thing (shake that thing)
She must have shook that thing (shook that thing)
Well I'm sick and tired of telling you how to shake that thing

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band usually performs nightly at Preservation Hall in New Orleans, and tours around the world over 150 days a year. Hurricane Katrina, however, forced Preservation Hall to close through the fall and winter of 2005, and the building remained shut until April 2006. The band continued to tour while the hall was closed. Art dealer Larry Borenstein opened an art gallery in a building he called Associated Artists Studio in 1961. This evolved into Preservation Hall.
