She Collected Lyrics

She collected gun-slingers
First-stringers, dead-ringers
She just needed moreShe collected dance hallers
Know-it-all-ers, wreckin'-ball-ers
She just needed more
She just needed moreShe had cars, clothes and health
She just needed more
She had looks, spare time and wealth
She just needed moreShe collected chain letters
Irish setters, go-getters
She just needed moreShe collected show-stoppers
Window-shoppers, name droppers
She just needed more
She just needed moreShe had money to pay her fines
She just needed more
I gave her all of my time
She just needed moreFirst I hardly noticed
I just thought she was just showing affection

But when her carpenter came
To measure me for a frame
I walked right out of her collectionShe collected ransacker's
Bushwhackers, nutcrackers
She just needed moreShe collected soul sellers
Fortune-tellers, go-to-hell-ers
She just needed more
She just needed moreShe had diamonds, pearls and wine
She just needed more
I gave her all of my time
She just needed moreShe just needed more
She just needed more
She just needed more
She just needed moreShe just needed more
She just needed more
She just needed more

He knew everything about it. And Butch was from the folk world. I was kinda the rock & roll guy, and we almost had a triad. We hit it off and started playing a lot together.
