She Wants To Know Lyrics

Her face
When you were lookin' for a while
Without a trace
That we're underneath the weatherAnd I tried to let go,
And she slipped away
Like a little girl
But I really wanna make her mineMy girl would never say
What I need to hear to make it all okay
So we try to make nice so the kids won't know
For a little while but it really doesn't make it allFind you alone a while
With a heavy hand and a darkened smile
Let her find time to regret
But I still don't know and I really wanna make her mineShe wants to know just who I am
She wants to know just who I am
She can make you work for the worth that she has
She wants to know just who I amI'm guessin' that it happens all of the time
Through no fault of mine
She can turn it around

And she wasn't like the best thing under the sun
But, yeah, I guess I needed to learn from her
I guess I need to open up and let it all outYour face when it all came down
With the bright light is a little dark frown
Now is unturned by the sharp alarm
And you weren't afraid
But it really doesn't matterI tried you and forced a smile
And we were like friends for an unsaid while
And I might have let go maybe one of those nights
She stayed a while
And still I wanna make her mineShe wants to know just who I am
She wants to know just who I am
She can make you work for the worth that she has
She wants to know just who I amI'm guessin' that it happens all of the time
Through no fault of mine
She can turn it around
And she wasn't like the best thing under the sun
But, yeah, I guess I needed to learn from her
I guess I need to open up and let it all outAnd she wasn't like the best thing under the sun
But, yeah, I guess I needed to learn from her
Guess I need to open up and let it all out

Half Moon Run is a talented young band from Ottawa, Ontario and Comox, British Columbia. It was in a practice studio situated in Montreal’s Mile-End district, through the hardships of time constraints and flat-lined bank accounts, that the trio bonded and created their unique sound, fusing together the restless elements of indie, pop and folk with beautiful rhythmic harmonies, delicate guitar lines and a hint of warm electronica.
