She's Gone Gone Lyrics

She's gone, gone, gone and I am all alone
Oh, oh, oh, gone, gone, gone, gone, well, now I am all alone
Fill me, baby, fill me, I want you to come back homeWe used to walk and talk together
We used to dance and laugh along
Oh, oh, oh, we used to dance and laugh along
Oh, my baby, I'm so tired of bein' aloneWell, now you walk down the street, sweet as pie
I love you baby, until the day I dieGone, gone, gone and I am all alone
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohWell now bye, bye, bye, well, I'm goin' on my way
Bye, bye, bye, well, I'm goin' on my way
So long pretty, baby, I won't be a trouble no more
You know you're gone, gone, gone
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Gone, gone, gone, gone
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye

The Penguins were an American doo-wop group of the 1950s and early '60s, best remembered for their only Top 40 hit, "Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine)", which was one of the first rhythm and blues hits to cross over to the pop charts. The song peaked at #8 on the national charts, but had a three-week run at #1 on the R&B "race" chart. Singers Cleveland Duncan, Curtis Williams, Dexter Tisby, and Bruce Tate, all students at Fremont High in Los Angeles, CA, formed the quartet in 1954. They broke up in 1959. Cleve Duncan sang lead on "Earth Angel."
