She's Losing It Lyrics

Lisa knows a girl who's been abused
It changed her philosophy in '82
She's always looking for a fight
She keeps the neighbors up all nightI go to her, when I'm feeling slack
The girl's using me as a punching bag
I think that I could help her out
But the girl's got a lot to be mad aboutBut in the first moment of her waking up
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing it
When the first cup of coffee tastes like washing up
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing it
Oh yeah, she's losing itLisa met Chelsea at the knocking school
Chelsea didn't feel like following the rules
They left the place for another school
Where the boys go with boys and the girls with girlsChelsea was the one who's been abused
It changed her philosophy in '82
She says, "Inch for inch and pound for pound
Who needs boys when there's Lisa round?"But in the first moment of her waking up
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing it

And when the first cup of coffee tastes like washing up
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing itShe goes to the mirror to put on her stuff
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing it
She doesn't speak to anyone till four o' clock
She knows she's losing it, oh yeah, she's losing it
Oh yeah, she's losing it

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister, recorded in a week, at the peak of the chamber pop movement.
