She's So Good to Me Lyrics

After the dance I walked my baby home under the moonlight
It was a scene, right from my fantasy
She said the things that made me wanna say
How much I love her
(Don't love no other)
It couldn't be, ooh, she's so good to meAnd when the morning came around
Well, she had not let me down, she was still my lover
I must confess that I put love to the test
To see if there was any othersShe proved to me, oh, what a real good love she'd be
And she was so excited
Deep in her eyes was a promise of the love
That I've been dreaming of, oh
She made me love the world, well
So I know she's my girlI'm on the cloud where no one is allowed except my lady
High as can be, she's so good to me
Well, I don't care or know what the people down below
Think 'bout my baby, maybe I'm crazy
But it's ecstasy, yeah, she's so good to meShe's so very fine

(And I love her and I love her)
She's the one I see
(Yes, I love her, yes, I love her)
Well, I do know day and night
No one else could be so right
She's so good to meYeah, she's the world for me, say 1 2 3
(And I love her and I love her)
She's my fantasy
(Yes, I love her, yes, I love her)
When the whole world lets me down
People driving me around
She's so truly good to meMy lady love and I always have a real good time
Just the three of us
We never stop, till the hands up on the clock
Say the night is upWe see the sun and then the fun has just begun
'Cause it's a brand new day, yeah
I hurry through of the things I've got to do
And then I'm on the way, yeah
Back together love, I've been day dreaming ofI don't agree, they say that every love has got to change
How can it be? She's so good to me?
Now, they say that suddenly, she'll start to acting strange
(She's gonna change)
No, not my baby, she's so good to meShe's so very fine
(And I love her and I love her)
She's the one I see
(Yes I love her, yes, I love her)
Well, I do know day and night
No one else could be so right
She's so good to meYeah, she's the world for me, say 1 2 3
(And I love her and I love her)
She's my fantasy
(Yes, I love her, yes, I love her)
When the whole world lets me down
With people driving me around
She's so truly good to meSo good to me
She's so very fine
(And I love her)

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
