Should Have Never Let You Go (feat. Dara Sedaka) Lyrics

Neil:
When you walk into a room
Your beauty steals my breath awayDara:
When you look into my eyes
I find it hard to find the words to sayNeil:
Wanna run away and hide
I just got to let you know
Feel so tangled up inside
I should have never let you gosingers: (should have never let her go)Dara:
Anyone can make mistakes
And we both have made our share
Neil & Dara:
But a life without your love
Is a life too hard to bearDara:
I don't care who's right or wrong
Only know I love you soNeil:
Why did I have to write this song
I should have never let you goNeil & Dara:

Why in all the wide, wide world
Have I run into you here
Wish I could disappearDara:
I'll never understandNeil:
I'll never understand
Dara:
Why I even give a damnNeil:
When you walk into a room
You know I stand on shaky groundNeil & Dara:
I've built so many walls around me
Now the walls are tumbling downDara:
You're the kind I can't forgetNeil:
Let the tears begin to flowDara:
I have only one regret
I should have never let you... go
Should have never let you goNeil:
Should have never let you goDara:
Should have never let you goNeil & Dara:
Should have never let you go

Neil Sedaka (born 13 March 1939 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building era of songwriting. He teamed up with Howard Greenfield to write many major hit songs for himself and others.

Sedaka wrote his 1959 hit "Oh! Carol" about his then-girlfriend, Carol Klein, later to become Carole King. In 1963, King released a humorous answer entitled "Oh Neil".

The Laughter In the Rain Songfacts says Sedaka's hits dried up when The Beatles arrived, but then he teamed up with the lyricist Philip Cody and had a a number 1 hit with "Laughter In The Rain." It re-ignited Sedaka's career and he had 6 more Top-40 hits in America by 1977.

Sedaka's voice is in the tenor range.
