Show Me Love Lyrics

There’s a girl living behind the corner
I got to meet her and I’m gonna
Daddy wanna be your man
Try to fit me in your plans
I’m on you like a glove
I guess that’s a sign of love
No other woman now can mean a thing
Baby let me show you what the love would bring
Baby, show me love, show me love
Baby, show me love, show me love
When meeting you looked so cool
Don’t even know if I can rap that smooth
I got it and I got it bad
It’s a feeling that I never had

Through the weather, winter rain or snow
It will never never be too cold
I’m whining baby on my knees
Baby, baby if you please
Let daddy love you crazy
With a whole lot of sugar gravy
No other woman now can mean a thing
Let me show you babe, let me show you babe

Curtis Mayfield (June 3, 1942 – December 26, 1999) was an American soul, funk and rhythm and blues, singer-songwriter and guitarist from Chicago, Illinois. Mayfield is probably best known for his anthemic music with The Impressions and for the soundtrack to the blaxploitation film Superfly. Perhaps because he didn't cross over to the pop audience as heavily as Motown's stars, it may be that the scope of Curtis Mayfield's talents and contributions have yet to be fully recognized. Judged merely by his records alone, the man's legacy is enormous.
