Shut Ya Mouth Lyrics

You see the difference between you and me
Is that I like you but you don't like me
Face each day optimistically
Breath and talk a lot of posivity
If anything bad It's gunna happen to me
That not the attitude seiously
Nah not the way to perceive it
If they tell you so don't believe it you tell demShut your mouth boy come out of here
Shut your mouth boy come out of here we tell dem
Shut your mouth boy
Shut your mouth
Do you hear me hear me hear me nowYou won't break this here's my raised fists
And I'm telling you no no no
You won't break this here's my raised fists
And I'm telling you noTaking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound
Taking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound

If you don't here me then your gunna feel me right nowSuicide can't take it no more
You don't wanna go outside your front door
Take a breath and you will be free
What you think that what you will be
Words that you say destroy a person
Don't fill up with pollution
Anything you want you'll achieve it
If they tell you no don't believe it
You tell demShut your mouth boy come out of here
Shut your mouth boy come out of here we tell dem
Shut your mouth boy
Shut your mouth
Do you hear me hear me hear me nowYou won't break this here's my raised fists
And I'm telling you no no no
You won't break this here's my raised fists
And I'm telling you noTaking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound
Taking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound
If you don't here me then your gunna feel me right now
We ah go tell dem tell dem tell dem
We take the battle to the under groundWell greedy does what greedy does and venom it will talk
My mamma used to tell me not to play inna de dark
You see It's in your actions and the way you carry on
Your like a lollipop against the blazing sun
I been there I done that I smoked that one
So you better watch your mouth before you bite that tongue
Now on judgement day where the wicked ah go run
So I hope that mouth is just a phase my son
You blab blab here and you blab blab there
Your run that mouth like you just don't care
And your get worse when you've had a drink
Coz your carry on like your shit don't stink
You don't want this no no
You better clip those wings no no
You better change dem tings no no
And watch out for shark fins yeahTaking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound
Taking the battle to the under ground
We nah go hear or fear your sound
If you don't here me then your gunna feel me right now
We ah go tell dem tell dem tell dem
We take the battle to the under ground

Skindred is a four-piece "ragga metal" band from Newport, Wales. Their genre is an innovative mix of metal, punk, and reggae. The band was formed in 1999 following the disbandment of vocalist Benji Webbe's previous band, Dub War and his one-off side-project mass mental? featuring Robert Trujillo (Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Metallica) released the year prior.

The band initially came together with three of the four Dub War veterans with Jeff Rose and Martin Ford returning alongside Webbe, along with new bassist Daniel Pugsley. The group released their debut LP Babylon in July 2002, with sporadic success in parts of Europe and the U.S. metal underground. However after suffering years of indifference and waning support from Earache Records with Dub War and now seeing the same lack of label support from RCA for Skindred, Rose and Ford amicably left the band in November of 2002, but would continue to offer their support.

Soon Webbe had hooked up with guitarist Mikey Dee, and drummer Dirty Arya and continued on, but it wasn't until a year or so later and Lava Records' involvement that the album really took off. Skindred re-released Babylon in August 2004. Lava's version featured different cover art, and included newly recorded material in addition to the original, Howard Benson-helmed songs. Skindred then headed out on a series of tours with acts like Sevendust, Nonpoint, and Papa Roach, and never looked back.
