Side By Side Lyrics

A fear of falling, a fear that I could
From a place high above my stars, well I would
Be a liar to say I'm not scared anymore
With a fear of falling on down to the floorTo the floor, these have nots
And haves divide for table scraps
And lantern light and on this spot
At last unite side by side by sideThe fear of losing this war is enough
That I hold my head some days in my gloves
And I wait for this Stone Age to slow to a stall
But I fear we're nowhere near to a crawlTo a crawl, these have nots
And haves divide for table scraps
And lantern light and on this spot
At last unite side by side by side
By side, side by sideI gotta tell you there's dissension in the soup lines
For they don't have much to show
And if you don't believe you're standing on a land mine
You'll just have to wait 'til it blows
You'll just have to wait 'til it blows, blowsTo the floor, these have nots

And haves divide for table scraps
And lantern light and on this spot
At last unite side by side by sideBy side, side by side by side
By side, side by side by side
By side, side by side by sideI gotta tell you
I gotta tell you
I gotta tell youSide by side by side
Side by side by side
Side by side by side
Side by side by side
Side by side

Grant Lee Buffalo is a Los Angeles-based rock band, consisting of Grant-Lee Phillips (vocals and guitar), Paul Kimble (bass) and Joey Peters (drums). All three were previously members of another LA band, Shiva Burlesque. As GLB, they released four albums: Fuzzy (1993), Mighty Joe Moon (1994), Copperopolis (1996) and Jubilee (1998, without Kimble who had left the band the previous year). After the release of Jubilee, the band broke up and Phillips continued to pursue a successful solo career. In 2010 the band reunited and they will be touring again in 2011.
