Silver Lining Lyrics

Will you tell me to go my way
Was it better when I left in the night to less love in the highway windThink of me when you're out letting loose
Is there a common thread, a hunch, maybe a clue
Mind is made up well it's true
Kinda fierce, hollow dreams, well that's you
I'm calling your bluff 'cause I think I've had enough of you
I see your silver lining but it's not worth the fighting soWill you tell me to go my way
Was it better when I left in the night to less love in the highway wind
I could be that fool again
I was better with you even in my pocket and a friend with the time to pretend
Still think I'm out hung up on you
Was a lost cause, was a lie, maybe the truth
I've been here before, I can't lose
Kinda was a real win, well that's youYou might think that you're tough, but I think that I've had enough of you
I see your silver lining but it's not worth the fighting so
Will you tell me to go my way
Was it better when I left in the night to less love in the highway wind
I could be your fool again

I was better with you even in my pocket and a friend with the time to pretendWill you tell me to go my way
Was it better when I left in the night to less love in the

My Goodness' connection to the Seattle music they grew up on is strikingly audible. Bands from Nirvana and Soundgarden, to bands from the early 00's Seattle hardcore scene such as Botch, Blood Brothers, Murder City Devils, and Horkonen were on heavy rotation for Joel and Any throughout their formative years. Dig deeper still and you find them tapping into a rich seam of blues, old and new - from Muddy Waters through Junior Kimbrough and RL Burnside to the musical sass of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
