Since I Lost My Baby Lyrics

The sun is shinin', there's plenty of light
A new day is dawnin', sunny and bright
But after I've been cryin' all night
The sun is cold, and the new day seems old
Since I lost my baby
Oh, since I lost my baby, oohThe birds are singin' and the children are playin'
There's plenty of work and the bosses are payin'
Not a sad word should a young heart be sayin'
But fun is a bore and with money I'm poorSince I lost my baby
(Since I lost my baby)
Oh, since I lost my baby, my baby
(My baby, my baby)
Next time I'll be kinder to my babyWon't you please help me find her
(Just help me to find ger)
Someone just remind her
(Someone just remind her)
(Someone just remind her)
Of this love she left behind her'Til I find her I'll be trying ta

('Til I find her I'll be trying ta)
Everyday I'm more inclined ta
Find her, Inclined taFind her, Inclined ta find my baby
(Baby)
I've been looking everywhere
(My baby)
Yeah, baby, I really, really care, I care, I careMy determination is fading fast, oh fast, oh fast
Inspiration is a thing of the past, oh
I can't see how my hope's gonna last
But good things are bad and what's happy is sad, so sad, so sad
(So bad)
I'm sad, so sad, so sadSince I lost my baby
(Since I lost my girl)
Oh, since I lost my baby
(Since I lost my baby)
I feel so sadGotta find that girl, I've got to find my girl
Since I lost my, since I lost my, my, my, my, my baby
Gotta find that girl, I've got to find my girl
Since I lost my, since I lost my, my, my, my, my baby
Gotta find that girl, I've got to find my girl
Since I lost my babyWhat's gonna happen to her
I Don't know, I don't know
What I'm gonna do now
I don't know
Since I lost my baby, yeahI don't know, I don't know
What to do without my girl, my girl, my girl
I don't know
Since I lost my baby, yeahI can't find her nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, oh no
Yeah, I can't find her nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere
I can't find her nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere
I can't find her nowhere
Nowhere, nowhere, nowhere, nowhere

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
