Sing My Heart Lyrics

Go on and sing my heart
You know it's Spring my heart
So why not show it?Pretend you're glad my heart
Although you're sad my heart
He mustn't know itRemember, love is not an easy game
No two hearts ever beat quite the sameGo on and dance my heart
Our only chance my heart
Is to forget it
Should you despair my heart
He'll know we care my heart
and we'll regret itIf it's to be, we soon shall see
and if it's not to be,
no power on earth can make it soPretend it's Spring my heart
Go on and sing my heart
For if you sing, he'll never know(bridge)Go on and dance my heart
Our only chance my heart
Is to forget itShould you despair my heart
He'll know we care my heart

and we'll regret it
If it's to be, we soon shall see
and if it's not to be,
no power on earth can make it soPretend it's Spring my heart
Go on and sing my heart
For if you sing, he'll never know

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
