Singing With the Wind Lyrics

You are lost tonight
I could be your friend
We are worth nothing
If we’re not worth the fight
So take your head and rest it on my patience
Love only gets bigger if we allow it to be tested
And I’m
I’m in the ring
And you’ve left me
Sitting in the corner singing with the wind
So sad behind your eyes
I can’t get close
So far from me are your family’s clothes
You don’t even fit me right
My best friend knows
That I’m killing time out here till my heart comes home

I’m
I’m in the ring
And you’ve left me
Sitting in the corner singing with the wind
In the corner singing with the wind,
I’m singing with the wind
So go take your body out, honey,
And numb your knees
If you can’t feel your legs
Then it ain’t you walkin away
But you better get ready
Cos here comes the moon
To take you through Saturn
Till you return to you
But I
I’ve gotta let you go
With love
Sitting in the corner singing with the wind

American singer-songwriter Melissa Ferrick (born September 21, 1970) emerged in 1991 as part of a group of new female alternative singer/songwriters, much in the vein of Liz Phair. Ferrick began singing in coffeehouses after dropping out of college, eventually winding up in Boston. Her major breakthrough arrived one night when she replaced Morrissey's opening act less than an hour before showtime.
