Singing the Blues Lyrics

I've been working so hard
Just came home from my job
I look down in my wallet
Goddammit, I've been boughtWhere can my money be now?
Five of the week's long work
What can I do now?
I got so many bills to payYou got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues
You got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues, yeahI got to tell you that the blues reached out of my pocket
People, oh what a shame!
The bills are gonna rob me tomorrow
That's why I need my ten dollars todayYou got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues
You got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my duesThe blues reached out of my pocket
People, oh what a shame!
The bills are gonna rob me tomorrow

That's why I need my ten dollars todayYou got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues
You got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues, yeahOh baby, oh baby you got me singing
Singing in the morning, singing in the new day
You got me singing, yeah
You got me singing, yeah
You got me singingThe blues reached out of my pocket
People, what a shame!
The bills are gonna rob me tomorrow
That's why I need my ten dollars todayYou got me singing the blues
And I'm paying all my dues
You got me singing the bluesBaby I'm gonna singing
Singing in the morning

Adrian Thaws (born 27 January 1968), better known as Tricky, is a rapper and musician from Knowle West, Bristol, England who is important in the trip-hop scene (despite loathing the tag) and remains influential on the british scene more generally. He is noted for an asthmatic whispering lyrical style that is half-rapped, half-sung. As a producer and a musician he is known for having an aversion to perfection preferring to build up a dark, rich and layered sound. Culturally, Tricky bridges white and black Britain particularly in his fusion of rock and hip-hop, high art and pop culture.
