Sitting Up Straight Lyrics

Sitting up straight on the back of a bus
Mimicking time as evening turns to dusk
Well, look at the boy with his face to the floor
Have a little smoke just to pass the time of the day
Oh yeah, oh yeahHe's like me, he'd do anything to get away
I know, can you be there every day?
I know I can believe in you
It means everything and every power to meSitting up straight on the back of a bus
Mimicking time as evening turns to dusk
Well, look at the boy with his face to the floor
I, have a little smoke to pass the time of the day
Hey, hey, hey, heyHe's like me, he'll do anything to get away
I know, can you believe it everyday
I know I can believe in you
It means everything and every power to meSitting up straight
Sitting up straight
Sitting up straight
Sitting up straight

Sitting up straightOn the back of a bus
On the back of a bus
On the back of a bus
On the back of a bus
On the back of a bus

The band consisted of brothers Gaz (guitar and lead vocals) and Rob Coombes (keyboards), Mick Quinn (bass and backing vocals) and Danny Goffey (drums and backing vocals). In summer 1994 they released their first single Caught By The Fuzz which had Strange Ones on the B side, on a small local record label called Backbeat, run by Makating bass guitarist Dave Norland from his bedroom in a house in the Cowley Road area of Oxford.
