Six Deep Lyrics

VERSE 1:
Girl I really thought you loved me
But you was just going through a phase
And then you spent all my money
And left me in a fiery blaze
Now you come back lookin'
For what's left of your kill
But I'm sorry to dissapoint you, baby
Ain't no bones buried in this fieldPRE-CHORUS 1:
You can love me
Then like me
Then need me
Then want me
So go on away from here ('Cause I'm tellin' you that)
CHORUS:
I don't want your blood on my hands
You better move on while you stand on your feet
You oughta run just as fast as you can

Before I go and grab my gun and load it six deepVERSE 2:
I heard you ran off with your lover
And thought you found a better catch
I heard he used and abused you
And left your life in a terrible mess
Now you come back scratchin'
Like a hound dog at my door
But I ain't fallin' for your tail waggin'
'Cause I don't want you anymore
PRE-CHORUS 2:
So don't call me
Don't write me
Don't text me
Don't tweet me
Just go back where you've been ('Cause I'm tellin' you that)CHORUS:
I don't want your blood on my hands
You better move on while you stand on your feet
You oughta run just as fast as you can
Before I go and grab my gun and load it six deep(Guitar Solo)VERSE 3:
I hope that you pursue your passion
May you find what your lookin' for
And I hope you learned your lesson
That all is fair in love and war
But I'll never forget you
And the pain you put me through
'Cause you're the one that I thought was for me
But you're the one that I never knewPRE-CHORUS 3:
You can love me
Then like me
Then need me
Then want me
So go on away from here
So don't call me
Don't write me
Don't text me
Don't tweet me
Just go back where you've been ('Cause I'm tellin' you that)CHORUS:
I don't want your blood on my hands
You better move on while you stand on your feet
You oughta run just as fast as you can
Before I go and grab my gun and load it six deep(Guitar solo)(CHORUS FADES)

Blues guitar phenom Eric Gales was born and raised in Memphis, learning to play at age four from older brothers Eugene and Manuel in imitation of their upside-down, left-handed style (a tradition actually passed down from their grandfather, Dempsey Garrett Sr., who was known to jam with the likes of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf). Winning his first blues contest at 11, four years later Eric signed to Elektra to issue his 1991 debut LP, recorded with Eugene on bass; Picture of a Thousand Faces followed in 1993.
