Skye Lyrics

How can't you see
The wilderness growing free
Time wounded and scarred
Stroking away the years
It's hard to believe
But memories are old ghosts
Mountains of black and gold
Sunsets falling over the moor
Oh take me there'S na horo eile, horo bho
'S na horo bho, hillean o
'S na horo horo eile ho, Take me thereYou take your dreams
You make life what you feel
Appearance lead to deceive
This drama so far from meDestiny
On facts aching wings
Wild geese fly low over your shores
Hearts sailing over the trees
Oh take me there'S na horo eile, horo bho

'S na horo bho, hillean o
'S na horo horo eile ho, Take me thereChi mi 'n t-eilean uaine
Tir nam beanntan àrda
Ceò a' tuiteam tron a' ghleann
Na shineadh air do raointeanEiro 's na horo eile
Eiro 'S na horo eile, horo bho

The band is now popular across the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany and is notable for combining original songs in Gaelic with a rock sound, thus reflecting the Gaelic culture. Runrig began in 1973 as a three-piece named the "Run Rig Dance Band", its members comprising Calum Macdonald and Rory Macdonald, and their friend, accordionist Blair Douglas. The line-up played its first gig at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
