Slave (Homebake Festival 1996) Lyrics

Lived too long now you've come to take me too
To place where I can't die.
Lost my soul lost my confidence in me.
Can't be something but I'll try.
Lived too long and waited to just drown.
In my self pity I keep falling down.Want to be your soldier
Want to be your slave
I have no pride in myselfOnly book that I own is called "How to Lose".
Pick a chapter I know them all just choose.
Lived too long and waited to find
A place where I can die
Lost my soul lost my confidence in me
Give me something but I'll tryWant to be your soldier
Want to be your slave
Have no pride in my self
That's how I behave

Silverchair were one of Australia’s most successful alternative rock (and formerly post-grunge) bands. The group has had more top twenty hits during the last decade than any other local artist and they have sold over six million albums worldwide. The band formed in 1992 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. In 1994, at the age of 15, Silverchair got their big break when the band won a national competition called "Pick Me" with the demo of their song, "Tomorrow".
