Sleep Til the War Is Over Lyrics

You say we're better off not knowing
If we cannot save a life
Somebody said there's a new day coming
Yeah but it don't feel rightAnd we weigh out these scars
Because we got no imagination
And we trade these lives
For any feeling we can ever knowAll I can do is try to make some sense of all this loss
All I can do is try to live my lifeBut I don't want to dance
I don't want to sing
I just want to sleep 'til the war is over
I don't want to lose everything
I just want to sleep 'til the war is over
But it ain't overYou say you judge them by their color
But what you can't say is why
Is it too hard to just love one another?
Where do we take this life? And we weigh out these scars
They say we got no destination
And from where we are

It seems we're never gonna make it homeAll I can do is try to make some sense of all this loss
All I can do is try to live my life
All I can do is try to make some sense of all this loss
All I can do is try to live my lifeAll I can do is try to make some sense of all this loss
All I can do is try to close my eyes
