Sleeping Beauty Lyrics

Still waiting for my ship to come in
Still looking for the right kinda friend
There are things inside things that can't be denied
What am I waiting forA sleeping beauty, so helpless
Unlock my fantasy
And while is slept
You came in
And gave to me your key oh your keyThings that we did again and again
Things that I thought would never never end
There are things inside things that can't be denied
What am I waiting forA sleeping beauty, so helpless
I confess of perfect design
And while is slept
You came in
And took this heart of mine
A sleeping beauty, so helpless
Unlock my fantasy
And while is slept

You came in
And gave to me your key oh your keyI looked around I saw your face
Then I kissed you in a very nice place
What was I looking for
Still waiting, still waiting, still waiting
Waiting waiting for you
Ooh baby
I'm still rootin' for you honeyYou showed me how to give
This selfish hear t of mineOh a sleeping beauty, so helpless
Unlock my fantasy
And while is slept
You came in
And gave to me your key oh your key
A sleeping beauty, so helpless
Unlock my fantasy
And while is slept
You came in
And gave to me your key oh your key
Still waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting

Mark Eitzel (born January 30, 1959) is best known as lead singer of the San Francisco band American Music Club. He was voted Rolling Stone's Songwriter of the Year in 1991. Eitzel's first solo album was the (now elusive) cassette-only 'Mean Mark Eitzel Gets Fat' (1982), which pre-dates his AMC work. He released a solo live album, Songs of Love Live in 1991, featuring raw and emotional acoustic versions of his best AMC songs. His first solo album proper was 1996's 60 Watt Silver Lining, a highly personal, jazz-inflected work.
