Slipping Down Lyrics

I worked on it for a while
Until I saw
That is was goin' nowhere
I gathered it into a pile
And put it with the rest of the thingsThat didn't work
That let me down
That drove my heart
Into the ground
That tore me up
That made me cry
With no regrets I askHave you no pride to stay straight
You've become everything
That you hate
In our little world
You're slipping down
Grab my hand and
I'll pull you outI'm trying to live a life
That cuts like a knife

That's dull
I wrapped myself up tight
And stored it with
The rest of the thingsThat didn't work That let me down
That drove my heart
Into the ground
That tore me up
That made me cry
With no regrets I askHave you no pride to stay straight
You've become everything
That you hate
In our little world
You're slipping down
Grab my hand and
I'll pull you outHave you no love to stay straight
You've become everything you hate
In our little world
You're slipping down
Grab my hand and
I'll pull you out

* Robert Mailhouse - Drums
* Gregg Miller The genesis of Dogstar was a chance encounter between Reeves and Mailhouse in a supermarket in 1991; Mailhouse was wearing a Detroit Red Wings hockey sweater, and Reeves (an avid hockey fan and a keen player of the sport) asked if Mailhouse needed a goalie. Their shared interest in the sport developed into a friendship. Initially, they began jamming together in private. The band went through several lineups before Domrose joined in 1994. .
