Sloop John B Lyrics

We come on the sloop John B
My grandfather and me
Around Nassau town we did roam
Drinkin' all night
Got into a fight
Oh now I feel so broke up
I just wanna go homeSo hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, I wanna go home
Yes, I wanna go home
Oh now, I feel so broke up
I just wanna go homeThe first mate, he got drunk
He broke into the Captain's trunk
Oh, the cops will come along and take him away
Sheriff John Stone
Why'd you leave me alone?
But now, I feel so broke up

I just wanna go homeSo hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, they don't wanna go home
Yes, they wanna go home
Oh now, I feel so broke up
I just wanna go homeSo come on the sloop John B
My grandfather and me
Around Nassau town we did roam
Drinkin' all night
We got into a fight
Oh now, feel so broke up
I just wanna go homeSo hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, yes I wanna go home
Yeah, I wanna go home
Oh now, feel so broke up
I just wanna go home, oh yeahHoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
