So Begins the Task Lyrics

Now begins the task
I have dreaded the coming of for so long
I wait for the sun to remind
My body it needs restingI must learn to live without you now
As I cannot learn to give only part somehowCamping on the edge of your city I wait
Hoping someday you see beyond yourself
Shadows on the ceiling hard but not real
Like the bars that cage me within myselfI must learn to live without you now
As I cannot learn to give only part somehowI must learn to live without you now
As I cannot learn to give only part somehowAll of these cages must and shall be set aside
They can only keep us from the knowing
Actors and stages now fall before the truth
And the love between us remains growingI must learn to live without you now
As I cannot learn to give only part somehow

Crosby, Stills & Nash is a pioneering folk/rock supergroup formed by David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash - refugees from three 1960s bands: The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Hollies. The band is primarily known for their three-part vocal harmonies. They are strongly associated with the 1969 Woodstock Festival. They are commonly referred to by their initials CSN.

The trio's first eponymous album was released in May 1969 and was an immediate hit, spawning two Top 40 hit singles and receiving key airplay on the new FM radio format.

In late summer 1969, the trio expanded to a quartet with Neil Young with the name changing to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (commonly referred to by their initials CSNY).
