So Dear to My Heart Lyrics

So dear to my heart
Oh, how dear you have grown
Through sunshine and through shadows
A flame that drives me on
When I have lost that old drive I had
When my dreams fall apart
You're a harbor on a stormy sea
So dear to my heart
You'll never know how much you've meant
How great that part you played
How your sweet smile can still my heart
At the close of a wearysome day
And when God made you He broke that mold
His greatest work of art
And He gave to me his masterpiece
So dear to my heart
So dear to my heart

Oh, how dear you have grown
Through sunshine and through shadows
A flame that drives me on
When I have lost that old drive I had
When my dreams fall apart
You're a harbor on a stormy sea
So dear to my heart
You'll never know how much you've meant
How great that part you played
How your sweet smile can still my heart
At the close of a wearysome day
when God made you He broke the mold
His greatest work of art
And He gave to me his masterpiece
So dear to my heart
