So Much Pain Lyrics

Rest in peace to my nigga Stretch, my nigga 'Pac
So much painYeah, yeah
All my, niggas, so much pain
Yeah
Yeah, so muchThey'll never take me alive, I'm gettin' high with my fo'-five
Cocked on these niggaz time to die
Even as a lil' nigga, you could picture me hot gun in the rain
I shed the tear 'cause this nigga here inherits the pain
And now I'm labeled as a thug nigga, you know the gameSmokin' weed, fuckin' hoes, slangin' thangs, that's the life I live
Even if I tried to go back I'd get lost
(Come back)
And everything I seem to love I done lost
Fuck the world if they can't understand meWhat else could I do? I had to feed my fuckin' family
Yo' lies is my truth, so I'm a drug to your youth
And you don't want 'em nowhere near me, now that they can hear me
I spits razors, never been a stranger to homicide
My city's full of tote-slangers and chalk linesWhy do we die at an early age?
Nigga so young but still a victim of a twelve-gauge

Feel the rage this world has bestowed upon me
And I don't give a fuck 'cause they don't give a fuck 'bout me
So I keep drinkin' Henessy, bustin' at my enemies
Will I live to see twenty-three? There's so much painI'm tired of the strain and the pain
(So much pain)
I'm tired of the strain and the painYears and years of strugglin' all my life
Runnin' wild as a kid, grew up blazin' 'em right
I'm in a little cell I call my soul lately
It's been a givin' me hell and my heart is screamin', don't enter
I've been cursed, for what it's worth I feel deadSpittin' to you, I know I'm in way over my head
But Lord hear me, I believe in your 7 day theory
Three souls done sent this whole world teary
(Can you hear me?)
Too hot for you to stand near meIt's so much pain, and niggaz wanna kill me
I'm tired of the stress and the strain
But my, grimiest grimeys got love for me
They're blazin', sendin' shotguns up above for me
My face in, Hennessy with no chaserCoke rises on every way in, keep us hustlin' nigga
Me and my man got a plan to get this paper nigga
So if you owe nigga, look for the gauge to blow nigga
I figured I'd be considered a killer
Doin' crime excited my mind and leadin' the blindI can't express my compassion, my satisfaction
For gettin' fucked up and blastin', we all been there
Taught from young to shoot, show no fear and lie
And wipe the tears from yo' mother's eyes, so much painI'm tired of the strain and the pain
Oh oh, no no, no no, no no
I'm tired of the strain and the pain
(They'll never take me alive)
I'm tired of the strain and the pain
(They'll never take me alive)Tired of the strain and the pain
(They'll never take me alive)
I'm tired of the strain and the pain
(They'll never take me alive)
(Cocked on these suckers, time to die)They got me mobbin' like I'm loc'd and ready to get my slug on
I load my clip and slip my motherfuckin' gloves on
I ain't scared to blast on these suckers if they test me
Trust, I got my glock cocked, playa if they press me
Bust on motherfuckers with a passionBetter duck 'cause I ain't lookin' when I'm ba-blastin'
I'm a nut and drinkin' Hennessy
And gettin' high on the lookout for my enemies
Don't wanna die, tell me why, 'cause the stress gettin' major
A buck-fifty 'cross the face with my razorWhat can I do but be a thug until I'm dead and gone?
I keep my brain on the game and stay headstrong
These sorry bastards wanna kill me in my sleep
I'm real they cannot see
And everyday is just a struggle, steady thuggin' on the streetsAnd I be, ballin' loc, don't let 'em make you worry
Keep swingin' at these suckers 'til you buried
I was born to raise hell, a nigga from the gutter, word to mother
I'm tough, I'm kickin' dust up, ready to bust
I'm on the scene steady muggin' mean until they kill me
I'll be livin' this life, I know you feel me, there's so much painI'm tired of the strain and the pain, pain
I'm tired of the strain and the pain
I'm tired of the strain and the pain, pain
I'm tired of the strain and the pain
Yea

Jeffrey Atkins (born February 29, 1976 in Queens, New York), better known by his stage name Ja Rule, is an American rapper, singer and actor signed to his own label Mpire Records. He began his career in the group Cash Money Click and released his debut solo album, Venni Vetti Vecci, in 1999. He has since released 2000's Rule 3:36, 2001's Pain Is Love, 2002's The Last Temptation, 2003's Blood in My Eye and 2004's R.U.L.E. He now plans to release his seventh studio album, Venni Vetti Vecci 2010, sometime later this year.

He is best-known for hits "Put It On Me", "Between Me And You", "Wonderful" and for being associated with Jay-Z as a part of The Murderers. Ja Rule has sold over 20 Million albums worldwide and has released six albums with one on the way. His best-selling albums are Pain Is Love and Rule 3:36. Ja Rule has beefed with rappers DMX, 50 Cent, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, and Eminem.

Early life:

He attended Junior High School in Floral Park, New York, where he met his future wife Aisha Murray and they graduated in 1991. They attended Martin Van Buren High School together but he did not graduate. When Atkins was five years old, his sister died from respiratory problems. Growing up in a strict religious home, Atkin's family did not celebrate birthdays and Christmas, and as a child, was not allowed to listen to rap music. When he first heard it, he decided to be a rapper. He would sneak the music into his house and played it on his CD player when his mother wasn't around. Atkins is married to his high school sweetheart, Aisha Atkins née Murray. They have three children: Brittney (11), Jeffrey Junior (6) and Jordan (3).He and his family live in a mansion in New Jersey.

Rise to Fame:

At age 15, Atkins appeared with 0-1 and Chris Black as part of Cash Money Click. This would lead to him being signed by TVT Records in 1994. He would end up being heard by a young DJ who called himself DJ Irv, then later Irv Gotti. Gotti, was a friend of Jay-Z's and he was also a DJ for Def Jam Recordings. During the mid 90s his main priority was meeting Ja Rule. He wanted to sign Ja to his new label Murder Inc. Records. He wanted Ja because of his distinct deep voice. After Irv was able to sign Ja along with DMX and Jay-Z to Def Jam. He began to have an idea that they all work together. They formed a group named The Murderers. They recorded many songs together. Friction tore the group apart, DMX, a rapper that sounds very similar to Ja accused him of trying to steal his style with the deep voice, by saying that before the three were signed Ja tried to make his voice sound lighter but heard him embrace the deep voice and tried to imitate it. They had planned to release an album together, but this idea was scrapped and they all made appearances on their respective albums. Still, around this time, Ja Rule was still fairly unknown. Jay-Z, at the time a young star and new to Def Jam, was the most popular rapper in hip hop. Russell Simmons had the idea that in order to build hype around Ja Rule and capitalize on Jay's popularity that Ja Rule do a verse on Jay-Z's 1998 single Can I Get A..., which also featured Amil. Ja's performance of the verse made him a household name and he became an instant star and by the release of his album a year later he was one of Def Jam Recordings premier acts.
