So Over You Lyrics

Lately I've been thinking that it's time
To realize that I've been oh so blind
With you I never really spoke my mind
You put me down, didn't support my grind
Now I feel my life is so refine
Finally able for me to shine
(I'm so over us)
Never really made it to cloud 9
Now that you're gone I'm doing just fine
Can't believe I wasted all my time
I thought that you& I were so intwine
If I could I would press rewind
And leave everything that you gave behind
(it was never love)
Everything I gave boy you'd break it
I was so hurt that my heart couldn't take it
You used to tell me without you I wouldn't make it
But boy you should know...

I'm so over you, it's crazy.
Taking your number off out my phone, boy I'm doing just fine alone
Can't believe I called you baby
Boy you should know,
I'm so over you
Don't even pull that I'm sorry thang
You don't even mean it because you haven't changed
I could see you hold my frame
Maintain the thing so you could play your game
How you want me to rock your chain
But put me down to cover up your pain
What was I to do?
Boy you nearly drove me insane.
You'd cheat, I'd cry, then you'd explain.
Over & over the same routine
But me to hold on was such a strain
When I let go, that's when I gained, I'll never go back to you again
Boy you're nothing new
Everything I gave, boy you'd break it
I was so hurt that my heart couldn't take it
You used to tell me without you I couldn't make it
But boy you should know...
I'm so over you, it's crazy.
Took your number off out my phone, boy I'm doing just fine alone
Can't believe I called you baby
Boy you should know I'm so over you
I'm so over you [x6]
Boy those things you do
I'm so over you
I'm so over you, it's crazy
Taking your number off out my phone, boy I'm doing just fine alone
Can't believe I called you baby
Boy you should know I'm so over you
I'm so over you, it's crazy
Taking your number off out my phone, boy I'm doing just fine alone
Can't believe I called you baby
Boy you should know I'm so over you

Paulini has been heralded as one of the finest vocalists and performers to come out of Australia.

This Fijian born songstress was barely in her 20’s as we watched her shine through the lens of the first series of Australian Idol (2003), thrust into the spotlight as the competition reached fever like pitch. Making it through to the final four, she won the hearts of a nation with her angelic, five octave range, and engaging personality.

As an artist Paulini rose to prominence on the top of the Australian ARIA Charts in 2004 with her debut Platinum album "One Determined Heart" and her Platinum smash single "Angel Eyes", both hitting the No. 1 spot (Angel Eyes remained at the top of the charts for 6 consecutive weeks).

In fact, Paulini is one of only ten Australian female solo artists to have a #1 album.

In 2006, Australia’s sweetheart released her second critically acclaimed album "Superwoman" including the hit singles "Rough Day" and her self-penned "So Over You", spawning her two UVMA nominations for Best Female Artist and R&B Album of the year. Paulini then joined forces with the Young Divas, releasing an album that spawned three consecutive top 5 hits and a national sold out tour.

With double platinum solo albums and singles under her belt, and the incredible success of both Young Divas and most recently the touring ensemble Ladies Of Jazz, Paulini is firmly established as one of Australia’s favourite singers.

Paulini is now moving her career forward in a fresh and positive manner, continuing to record new material and cementing her status as a songwriter after inking a publishing deal with Alberts Music (home of ACDC and Vanda and Young).

Her most recent single, Scarless, was released independently in November to help raise awareness for White Ribbon Day, and the White Ribbon Campaign. This is only one of a number of songs she is preparing for her album planned for the second half of 2010.

Over the years Paulini has grown as a performer, a songwriter and a woman, steering her own destiny in her music career and making choices that she truly feels good about. “I’m at the happiest point in my life. I’m spending my spare time in the studio writing and creating my own work.”
