So Soon Lyrics

You say sometimes it like sometimes I hardly know ya,
And maybe there's some things I never showed ya,
Sometimes you're certain but ya just can't get it working at all.
You say to yourself, somebody better understand you more than I ever.
I'll shake his hand and smile and say I understand, well i do.
But that don't mean I don't think about ya.
I know we, said it's just as well that,
I won't keep, keep your for myself
But I don't wanna see you happier with somebody else.
Ohh
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely
I know you need someone too,
This just feels soo soon.

I know something's should just stay broken,
I'm well aware this should remain unspoken,
But I've been working on the things that I was learning all wrong,
Ohhhh
I know sometimes I only twist ya,
And maybe I'm too proud to say I missed ya,
But what I fear and now I tell you I'm all figured out,
Or maybe I just like how that sounds.
I know we, said it's just as well that,
I won't keep, keep your for myself
But I don't wanna see you happier with somebody else.
Ooooohhh,
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely.
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely
I know you need someone too,
This just feels soo...
And I know its seems beneath me,
But sometimes it's not soo easy,
Until its you will in letting you go
And I said it's just as well, that I just can't keep you for myself
I don't wanna see you happier with somebody else.
Lo-lo, loo,
Lo-lo, lo-lo, lo-lonely,
Why can't you just be,
Lo-lo, lo-lo,lo-lonley
Why cant you just be,
Lo-lo,lo-lo, lo
This just feels so,
This just feels soo,
Feels so soon,
Why cant you be,
Why cant you be,
This just feels so,
This just feels soo,
This just feels soo soon.

Donnie Elbert (May 25, 1936 – January 26, 1989) was an American soul singer, who had a prolific career from the mid-1950s to the late 1970s. His US hits included "Where Did Our Love Go?" (1972), and his reputation as a Northern soul artist in the UK was secured by "A Little Piece of Leather", a performance highlighting his powerful falsetto voice. Elbert was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but when aged three his family relocated to Buffalo, New York. He learned to play guitar and piano as a child, and in 1955 formed a doo-wop group, the Vibraharps, with friend Danny Cannon.
